FitnessBruh is built so that the most sensitive thing it touches (your camera) never leaves your hands. This policy explains what we process, what we store, and what we never collect.
Camera & pose data
The camera feed is processed entirely on your device by an on-device pose-estimation model. No image or video frame is ever uploaded, recorded, or stored, not by us, not by a third party. There is no cloud analysis.
Joint positions (the dots the app draws on your body) are used on your phone to count reps. If you turn on "Help improve rep counting" in Settings, the app also sends us those joint positions for the sets you do, as numbers only, with no name, no account id and no camera frames. We use them only to make counting and form cues more accurate. You can turn this off at any time. If you attach movement data to a "Count was off?" report, that one set is linked to your report so a human can replay it.
What we do store
- Account data: your email address and a securely hashed password, or your Google account identifier if you sign in with Google.
- Workout data: exercise name, rep and set counts, timestamps, and workout settings. Numbers only.
- Subscription status: if you subscribe to Pro, purchases are processed by Google Play and verified through RevenueCat. We store your subscription tier; we never see your payment details.
- Device identifier: a random identifier used once at signup to limit the free trial to one per device.
- Usage and performance diagnostics: phone model, operating system, screen size, memory, how fast the app and the pose model run, and which screens and features you use, so we can fix slow devices and bugs. You can turn this off in Settings.
- Crash reports: anonymized crash diagnostics (via Sentry) to fix bugs. These never include camera data.
iOS launch notifications
If you leave your email on this site to be notified about the iOS launch, we store that email for exactly one purpose: sending you one email when the iOS app ships. No marketing list, no sharing. Email [email protected] to be removed.
What we never do
- Upload, record, or retain camera frames or video.
- Sell or share your personal data with advertisers.
- Use your data for advertising, sell it, or share it with third parties. Joint position data is used only to improve FitnessBruh's own counting and never to identify you.
Retention
- Usage and performance diagnostics: 180 days.
- Anonymous movement data: 90 days, up to 180 days for sets that showed a counting problem, and one year when attached to a "Count was off?" report.
- Account and workout history: until you delete the account.
Data deletion
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the app's Settings → Delete account, or by emailing [email protected].
